Twinsie Tuesday: Chevron

Hi there! It's that time again! This week's theme is chevron and let me just say, I am not happy with how mine came out. I tried to use my pinking shears and painters tape, but the end results just weren't good. The pinking shears weren't the right shape. So here we go. Also, I'd like to say I will be taking another break from blogging while I move. I plan on being back as soon as I can!

For this I used Sinful Shine in Most Sinful and a basic white.

Don't forget to check out the other chevrons for today!

Twinsie Tuesday: Circus

Hello! It's another edition of Twinsie Tuesday! This week's theme is a Circus theme. I kept it pretty simple for this one. I used a basic white and NOPI Rainbow in the Sky-lie, a basic red and Kleancolor Chunky Holo Scarlet. The multi color glitter represents the colorful clown outfits and the red is for the color of the Big Top. The rest is LA Girl 3d glitter in Brilliant Blue. The blue is for the night sky b/c typically the Circus is a night event. Enjoy!

Twinsie Tuesday: Different Technique on Each Nail

Hello! It's that time again! This week's theme is a different technique on each nail. I did something similar to this a while back and I really enjoyed it so I decided I would try to recreate it. I don't know if you could call each of these a different technique, but each nail is certainly different. On my pinky is what I call the "glitter" technique and I used a coat of Sally Hansen Golden -I and then a coat of L'Oreal Sparklicious, on my ring finger I did a ruffian using Nina Ultra Pro in Black and LA Girl Sand Blast in Sands of time, then I just got a little lazy with my middle finger and just used the Nina Ultra Pro by itself. On my index finger is 2 coats of LA Girl Sands of time and lastly on my thumb I used the Nina Ultra Pro Black as a base and used the LA Girl Sands of time to make the cloud shape. Enjoy!

Twinsie Tuesday: New Technique to Me!

Hello! It's another weekly edition of Twinsie Tuesday. This week's theme is a technique that is new to us. I know this technique has been around a while, but it's not one that I have ever done! I think it came out pretty good too! I guess you could call this the cloud technique. I found the simplest tutorial on you tube and went with it. I used Zoya Pippa, Sally Hansen CSM in Parrot, and Orchid Tiki Torch. I love how the colors looked together, a very tropical feel! Enjoy!

Twinsie Tuesday: Splatter

Hello! It's that time of the week again! This week's theme is a splatter manicure. I am sad to report I have not mastered this technique. I for the life of me, can't get the splatter to work, so here is my take. I started with a base of Sally Hansen Sugar Coat in Sugar Fix. Then I dabbed on Sinful Colors Most Sinful, Nina Ultra Pro in Blue Blaze and Sinful Colors Dream On. It's more like a water color, but I like the way it looks over the texture polish! Enjoy!

Don't forget to check out the other splatters for the day!

Hello! This week's theme is Disney! My art skills are no bueno, but I think you'll get the idea. I went with a Pocahontas theme. I used a tan to represent her clothing and a turquoise and off white as her necklace. Hope you enjoy!

Twinsie Tuesday: International Choice

Hello! Sorry my post is so late! This week's theme is international choice. We have a few international ladies in our group so we were all put in groups and the international ladies gave us our mission. My group leader was the fabulous Roisin from Cutie-Clue-les! She hails from Ireland and she gave of the task of representing Ireland. I kept going back to Guinness...I enjoy a good drink, and while I've never tried it, I am sure it's fantastic. Roisin I hope you enjoy this!!! I wanted this to represent a nice tall glass and good memories with friends and just enjoying life! I used Nail Savvy Chocolate and an off white.

I used NYC Tribeca Silver as my base and then sponged on Milani Red Jewel FX, then a little bit of Pure Ice Freedom, and one last little layer of LA Colors Sparkling Diamonds. Twinsie Tuesday: Beach Themed

Hello! Sorry for missing last week, I was out of town! I will be making up for that today! This week's theme is Beach. I tried to represent a gorgeous beach sunsent with a gradient. It didn't come out as well I would have liked. I used Zoya Pippa, China Glaze Pool Party and Orchid Tiki Torched.

And here's my texture polish from last week! This is LA Girl Sand Blast in Sandals.

Twinsie Tuesday: Marching Orders Take 3!

Hello! It's another Tuesday and we have another round of Marching Orders! My Orders came from Anne of the fabulous Grape Fizz Nails. My task was to do something 3D. Remember last week when I said I didn't have any rhinestones???  Well.......I was digging through some old craft stuff and I found them so I decided to use them! The base color is Pure Ice Siren. I'd been wearing it for 3 days before I did this! I added 3 crystal rhinestones for a little sparkle and the 3D effect. Enjoy!

Don't forget to check out the other marching orders for today! Also, A big welcome to our newest twinsies!

Twinsie Tuesday: Inspired by another blogger!

Hello everyone! This week's theme is inspired by another blogger. I chose to recreate a mani done by Peace Love and Polish! Her's uses rhinestones, I didn't have any so I improvised and used glitter. If you click on her blog link you can see the original manicure. I used a basic black and matte topcoat. Enjoy!

Twinsie Tuesday: Best Transitional Polish Spring to Summer

Hello! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! This week's theme is the best transitional polish from spring to summer. I chose LA Girl Sand Blast in Quick Sand. While it's a little dark, it's still nice and bright. I am all about bright colors for summer! This is also a texture polish which seem to be gaining popularity and popping up everywhere. Now, if you aren't a fan of the China Glaze or Sally Hansen texture polishes you, might give these a try. I feel like the texture is a little finer, and a little less gritty. Application was great.  I think I will like these a lot more and I plan on going back for more! I used 2 coats. Enjoy!

Twinsie Tuesday: Revisit an Old Challenge

Hello! It seems like it's been a while. I first want to say that I appreciate each and every one of you. I know I haven't been a consistent blogger lately. I just feel like I need a little blogging break. I will continue to post for TT but that's all for now. I will be back though!

Now on to the theme for this week. We were supposed to go back and revisit an old post. I am cheating a little since I missed the fictional animal print challenge, I am doing it now! I have no idea what to call this, but it reminds me of something from Dr. Seuss. I used Sinful Colors Sugar Coat as the base, and then about 3 thin coats of the new Sally Hansen Fuzzy's in Wool Knot. I know some of you aren't fans of bar glitter, but these are really small. I like the look it gives! Enjoy!

Twinsie Tuesday: Fish Tail

Hello! This weeks theme is a fish tail manicure. When I looked up pictures online, there were 2 different things that came up. One that looks like a chevron tip and the other was a fishtail braid. I went with the first option. My base is Orly FX in Rose Pixel (more on that tomorrow!) and then the fish tail is Zoya Pixie Dust in Dahlia. Enjoy!

Don't forget to check out the awesome fish tail mani's the other ladies came up with! Also,  huge welcome to our newest members Kelly, Lakeisha, and Traci!
